Last week the project saw a lot of progress and changes. The week definitely had its ups and downs. We started by meeting with LangLab about installing a rain garden on the property. They were enthusiastic about our rain garden idea, but after further inspection found that it would not work. First we considered putting a rain garden on the south side of the building (the only place a rain garden would work), but NIPSCO informed us that there were several gas lines in the area.
With the help of Gary Gilot, we have focused on everyone’s strengths and weaknesses. The team has looked at what everyone is good at (and what everyone can improve at) and assigned projects from there. The projects include installing rain gardens, creating a 3D topographical map of the Bowman Creek area, developing a retention pond, and reaching out to the community. By following these tasks, we can make great progress on this project.
